ABOUT DIRTY5IVE

Dirty5ive means 305, the dirty south, the dirty-dirty — it means we came from the mud. It’s a hiphop-inspired lifestyle brand for those who made something out of nothing. We are dedicated to curating events and content that creates and strengthens our local hiphop community.

We use Instagram as our main platform to engage with the community at large. As of now we have created two platforms, @dirty5ive and @miashooters.

On Dirty5ive’s instagram we host a bi-weekly cypher challenge called #Str8Bars thats been active since 2016. Artists from all over the world, literally, have participated and thrown down bars! We also host the #2ndAveCypher every Tuesday in real life since 2022 in Wynwood (next to Panther Coffee) and do pop-up #Str8Bars cyphers all around the city frequently.

The other platform, MIA Shooters, is a photography community where we host a monthly photo theme challenge called #TakeYour5hot. We also host a variety of events like photowalks, a unique gallery experience called SEASONS, and meetups to create content and network with each other. We also have a sister platform called SoFlo Muses which focuses on the models that participate.

Lately, we’ve been engaging with all kinds of sub-cultures and various elements of hiphop to create interesting connections and events by merging different communities together. For example, Cypher ‘n’ 5kate is an event which brings you exactly that — skateboarding and rapping. These will be typically held at Old Free (Justice Park), with live deejaying, painters, vendors, performances, and much more! We are heavily focused on creating different events and experiences to motivate and inspire the community.
